The 8th Neural Coding International Workshop (or “NC-2009”) will take place in Tainan (the historic capital city of Taiwan) from May 8-13, 2009. It will be held for the second time in Asia (after the one in Osaka, Japan in 1999). The venue will be at the National Cheng Kung University.

The NC-2009 Workshop will be accompanied by a one-day satellite, “Neuroengineering Workshop 2009” to be held at National Chiao Tung University, Hsin Chu city (some 1.5 hrs away on our High Speed Rail) and likely also be preceded by a three-day introductory course dictated by some of the invited speakers directed to the students attending the symposium. Fellowships for students will be available, provided our meeting is elected for financial support by different organizations. A selection will be made by an international selection committee following academic criteria. Call for applications will be published in this site as well as a link from the International Affairs Department (Medical) and the Department of Physiology, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.
